I have always been driven to express myself creatively, and started doing so from a young age through painting, drawing, and playing music. My goal at first was to be a musician, but I found myself drawn more to visual arts as I got older because it was easier to express myself visually. I will always be passionate about music, but design is what truly gives me purpose and fulfillment. My paintings are fueled by my favorite music!
I began my education at Alfred University, where I studied fine arts and ceramics for two years before transferring to the School of Visual Arts in New York City for their renowned and innovative graphic design program. I have gained extensive experience with creating visual art through painting and digital mediums, and fine tuned my understanding of color theory and typography. I have learned how to create meaningful designs and paintings by integrating typography with my love of colors and compositions.
More than anything, I seeing wild ideas come to life. Through teaching the arts, I can help children translate their ideas into cohesive and meaningful designs that tell a story, and send a message. Learning technical skills in a nurturing environment is essential for children to be able to fully and uniquely express themselves, and find their voice in this world.
I have also completed a masters program at Queens College to pursue Art Education even further. I have taught painting, drawing, sculpture, and graphic design to children of all ages at various schools while I continue my exploration as a fine artist and designer.
